Waxberg’s Walk Shoppe, the shoe store at 7013 W. Dempster Street in Niles, Illinois, is now Stan’s Shoes, effective October 20th, 2026. 

If you've recently driven past our store, you may have noticed something different. Waxberg’s Walk Shoppe has a fresh new look and a new name: Stan’s Shoes!

While our name and store have changed, we want to reassure our longtime customers that the things you've come to know and love about Waxberg's aren't going anywhere.

Waxberg’s became Stan’s Shoes to create a consistent experience across all Midwest Shoe Merchant stores, after Waxberg’s joined the Midwest Shoe Merchants family in 2022. 

Both family businesses shared the same values: a commitment to quality footwear, personalized service, and helping customers find shoes that truly fit.

Bringing Waxberg's under the Stan's Shoes name is a natural next step in that partnership. It allows us to create a consistent shopping experience across our stores while continuing to honor the relationships and trust Waxberg's has built in the Niles community for generations.

This isn't a change in ownership or a new company taking over. It's the same family-owned business you've been shopping with since 2022, now with a fresh look and a name that reflects our shared commitment to exceptional footwear and service.
