At Midwest Shoe Merchants, our love for shoes goes beyond comfort and style—it’s about helping others take their next step forward. Each year, our family of stores—Stan’s Shoes, The Vionic Store, Goodmiles Running Company, and Waxberg’s Walk Shoppe—unite for the Share-A-Pair Shoe Drive, a Midwest-wide effort to provide shoes to those who need them most.
Shoes are the foundation of health, mobility, and dignity. Through Share-A-Pair, we’re turning our passion for footwear into a way to give back, helping people in our communities one pair at a time. Since the program began, generous donors have helped us collect and distribute over 350,000 pairs of new and gently used shoes to individuals and families across Greater Milwaukee and beyond.
What types of donations do you accept?
We welcome new or gently used shoes, sandals, sneakers, and boots for men, women, and kids — plus new socks for all ages. Shoes should still have life left in them so they can be worn again. Even unwearable shoes are donated for recycling or material use.
Do you accept anything other than shoes?
Yes! We accept new socks for men, women, and kids. These are distributed directly to our local partner organizations.
Where can I drop off my donations?
You can donate shoes and socks year-round at any Midwest Shoe Merchant location:

When can I donate?
All year long!
However, February is our special Share-A-Pair Month, where we thank donors with a coupon for each donation made during that time.

- Hope House Milwaukee
- Sojourner Family Peace Center
- Niles Family Services
We also partner with Soles4Souls, a national non-profit that distributes shoes globally to communities in need.
